Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center

Mobile Mental Trauma Therapy Team

Through funding from Dignity Health a partner of the Family Justice Center; the Mobile Mental Trauma Therapy Team (MMTTT), provides group and individual therapy and Art Therapy at convenient locations in multiple geographic locations in Sacramento County. The MMTTT travels to proven community agencies with track records of success connecting and working with human trafficking victims in the areas that currently struggle to fund licensed clinical therapy programs.

Mental Health Therapist are stationed at the following agencies that work specifically with Human Trafficking survivors: My Sister's House, Chicks in Crisis, Bridge Network, Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH), A Community for Peace (ACFP), City of Refugee, and Women Escaping a Violent Environment (WEAVE).

Program Successes

Since beginning art therapy the parenting group allows moms and little ones to join after class to creatively explore the emotional topics through artistic outlets.

We have seen a positive response from all the partner agencies. It has been very successful so far to provide a moment for survivors to catch their breath and feel supported through their journey. While we focus on art and self-awareness we teach tools that foster self-growth and encourage them to utilize community resources.
